How are points earned?

We are introducing a new point system for Week 4 and onwards to reward higher placements more. The new formula to calculate points is:

Points = (Players/2) - (Placement-1) + Bonus

Where Players is the total number of players in the match, and placement is your rank in the match (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.). Only half of the people playing (rounded down) can complete the seed and get points. This means that you are rewarded more for pushing the pace.

On top of placement points, the first three to finish a seed will get extra points: first +5, second +3 and third +1.

Here is how it works, if there are 50 players in a match:

• 1st Place: (50/2) - (1-1) + 5 = 25 + 5 = 30 points
• 10th Place: (50/2) - (10-1) = 25 - 9 = 16 points
• 30th Place: dnf = 0 points

Total points at the end of the week determine promotions and relegations.
