Points

For each seed, if you complete, you earn points based on your placement.

Points for each placement are calculated using this formula, rounded down:

Points = (Players / 2) - (Placement - 1) + Bonus

Where Players is the total number of players who signed up for the week, and Placement is your placement for the seed (1st = 1, 2nd = 2, etc). However you will always receive at least 1 point for completing a seed.

Additionally, the first three to finish a seed will get bonus points, provided their placement is in the top half of registered players, rounded down:

1st +5
2nd +3
3rd +1

For example, if there are 25 players in a match:

  • 1st place: (25/2) - (1-1) + 5 = 17.5 ≈ 17 points
  • 2nd place: (25/2) - (2-1) + 3 = 14.5 ≈ 14 points
  • 3rd place: (25/2) - (3-1) + 1 = 11.5 ≈ 11 points
  • 4th place: (25/2) - (4-1) + 0 = 9.5 ≈ 9 points
  • 10th place: (25/2) - (10-1) + 0 = 12.5 - 9 + 0 = 3.5 ≈ 3 points
  • 12th place and below: 1 point
  • No completion: 0 points

Ranking

The ranking for each week is just the total number of points. In case of ties, the player with a faster average completion time ranks higher. If points and average time are both tied, Minecraft names determine the order alphabetically. Not completing or not playing a seed counts as time limit for the average time. If you didn’t complete any seed, you are effectively unranked. The ranking is used to calculate a performance score, which is used for relegations.
